WHO WE ARE
Our mission
EXPOSE: Navigating in a Mosaic Culture (ENMOC) works to strengthen underserved communities through education, advocacy, and intercultural communication.
Rooted in the experiences of communities that have historically been excluded from opportunities, ENMOC creates intergenerational spaces where people can learn, share, and be heard, building upon the knowledge and strengths they already possess.
Our mission is to expand access to resources and opportunities, to create greater equity and possibilities for current and future generations.

Children, teens, adults, and older adults learn together in a warm, human-centered environment. People bring the wisdom, experience, creativity, curiosity, and judgment. AI is a tool they can learn to understand and use responsibly.

You do not have to know all the answers to begin. Different experiences make learning richer.
Explore unfamiliar tools, ask everyday questions, and connect new possibilities with a lifetime of experience.
Share what you know, listen to another generation’s stories, and imagine what you could create together.

AI means artificial intelligence. Together, we can explore how these tools might support everyday life, with room to ask questions and check what we learn. Here are a few possibilities to talk about.
Explore how to turn a shared memory into a written story, using only details you have permission to share.
Try drafting a message or brainstorming a creative idea with AI, then review the result together.
Practice spotting an urgent, suspicious message and finding a trustworthy way to verify it.

As we explore new tools, safety belongs in every learning conversation. Start with these habits for protecting personal information, checking AI answers, and recognizing scams.
Leave passwords, identification numbers, private records, and other people’s information out of public AI chats. Practice with made-up examples and check a tool’s privacy settings before uploading files.
AI can produce confident answers that are wrong. Open the original sources, check dates, and verify important claims with a reliable source before acting or sharing.
Unexpected links, urgent requests, and demands for secrecy deserve a second look. Contact the person or organization through a number or website you already know, instead of using the message’s contact details.
Use long, unique passwords and a password manager. Turn on multifactor authentication—a second sign-in check—where available. Never share a sign-in code with someone who unexpectedly contacts you.
Install updates for your phone, computer, browser, and apps. Enable automatic updates when practical, and get software through official stores or the developer’s verified website.
Choose someone you trust to talk through a suspicious message. On a shared device, sign out when you finish and avoid saving passwords. Ask before uploading another person’s photo or story to an AI tool.

As our world changes, we must create spaces where generations can learn from one another, remain connected to who they are, and confidently explore what comes next.
